Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Three years later, on December 7, 1978 a corporate picture of the whole staff was taken (11 on 12 exactly, the Office Secretary was at home because of bad weather condition).
Thirty yeays later, Microsoft is now located in Redmond, Washington with roughly 90,000 employees. Due to the “retirement of his Founder, Chairman and CEO, this team was invited to take a new picture. Most of the pioneer team members do not work anymore for the “Firm” and for some since the 80′s.
It is still interesting to see how the people who build such a company have evolved physically and professionally compared to the company evolution.
It would be fun to see the same kind of photos for the other major companies such as Apple or Oracle.
